Help us manage our properties for stream protection, invasive control, and public trail access. Intern must be reliable, dependable, and able to take direction and to work independently.
Number of Interns Needed: 2-4
Time Commitment: 2-20 hours per week, Community Service hours available. Hours are flexible.
Duties:
- Maintain Riparian Buffer Planting
- Remove invasive plants and noxious weeds from Riparian and Trail areas
- Oversee parking and pavilion, kiosk area
- Maintain, including watering, the period landscaping around Marshall Millhouse (MMH)
- Mark trail and educational signage, upkeep as needed
- Assist in upkeep and maintenance of bridges, boardwalks, and stream crossings
- Maintain blazed trails as marked
- Blaze trails at Vincenti and Stateline Woods Nature Preserve; create boardwalk areas if feasible
- Other projects as designated by land trust or proposed by interns
