Volunteers Needed For The Franklin Township Goodwin Preserve Reforestation

Meet at the Intersections of 841, School House & Church Hill Roads
Please bring the following

• Shovel
• Gloves
• Protective Eyewear
• Hammer
• Rubber Boots

Your efforts will make Franklin Township a greener community and help preserve a portion of the Middle Branch of the White Clay Creek. Our goal is to plant 2,400 mixed species to trees within 100 feet of either side of the creek to help stabilize the banks and absorb nitrates and other harmful chemicals from entering the creek.

TRAIL MAINTENANCE DAY SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 4TH
STATELINE WOODS PRESERVE
HUGE SUCCESS !!!

A Great Big Thank You to all those who came out yesterday to weed, mulch, spread mulch and identify sick trees and mark where new trees need to be replanted. We all enjoyed a crisp beautiful fall day. Volunteers shared their time all day from 10am to dark ! Tony Hodgson, whom you all met - he was the guy on the tractor...extends his gratitude. Without all of your help - it would have taken weeks to accomplish the amount of work we accomplished Wednesday. That just goes to show what a few extra hands and borrowed work vehicles can do !
